Chef Wes Stepp
Originally from West Virginia, Chef Wes Stepp has been a well-known chef at Outer Banks restaurants for over 35 years. He worked at Kelly's restaurant for several years before purchasing Red Sky Cafe and turning it into one of the most popular restaurants in Duck and, indeed, the entire area.
His skill and passion for culinary skills – preparation and presentation - have allowed him to create a thriving restaurant and catering business, serving weddings and corporate events from Carova to Hatteras. He and his team have become known for their professionalism mixed with genuine care and fun.
Wes Stepp is also the founder of NC Coast Grill & Bar, Chef's on Call, and Tastefully Fit, all of these brands located in Duck, North Carolina.
Director of Operations
Native to Charleston, SC Bridget Karg is the Chief of Operations for Red Sky and NC Coast Grill & Bar. Bridget studied Human Development and Family Studies at Auburn University before moving to the Outerbanks.
For nearly 13 years Bridget has worked in the hospitality industry, specializing in weddings and events for most of that time. For the past four years she has been managing Chef Wes's restaurants and executing exceptional events all over the Outer Banks!
Bridget sits on the Board for the Outer Banks Wedding Association and takes great pride in bring a part of the wedding industry here on the beach.
She is a natural at bridging gaps, building relationships, and managing catering events that cement a special place in people
s memories. Bridget derives her inspiration from her team, happy clients and seeing people enjoy their special days in extraordinary ways. She is also passionate about attention to detail, problem-solving and multitasking.
Catering Sales Manager
Alexis is originally from Chesapeake and moved to the Outer Banks of North Carolina in 2015. She studied Psychology at Old Dominion University.
She has worked under the Red Sky Cafe umbrella for seven years and now calls the Outer Banks her forever home, which she shares with Josh, her husband.
Alexis is passionate and committed to helping people. She specializes in personalizing diverse menus for each client and handling stressful catering planning situations with grace. Her signature is professionalism and incredible attention to detail.
Once clients get to know Alexis, they appreciate her honesty, caring personality, and sincerity. Alexis takes the greatest satisfaction in seeing everyone happy and is always grateful for the opportunity to make this happen.
Alexis has a son, and she loves being a mom. In her free time, her favorite activity is spending time at home with Josh and her son, Banks.
