Some couples are elegant. Some couples are fun. Eliza and Quientin somehow managed to be both at the exact same time. From the moment the day started, their energy was contagious, and by the end of the night, it felt less like a wedding and more like the best party on the Outer Banks.
Their ceremony took place at the iconic Whalehead Club in Corolla, with the soundside setting creating the perfect backdrop for a heartfelt evening ceremony. As guests gathered near the water, Eliza and Quientin exchanged vows surrounded by family, friends, and the soft golden light of late April.
After the ceremony, everyone made their way to the Basnight Event Home for cocktail hour around the pool. The entire evening felt relaxed and welcoming, exactly the kind of atmosphere that lets guests settle in and celebrate fully. Our team at Red Sky Catering served a buffet-style dinner designed for sharing, conversation, and long stretches of laughter around the tables.
And speaking of laughter, these two absolutely knew how to have fun. Katie Ludolph captured every bit of it perfectly. Eliza and Quientin were radiant in front of the camera and easily one of the most playful couples we have ever worked with. Whether they were dancing poolside, sneaking away for sunset portraits, feeding each other cake, or cheering on guests before a late night pool jump, every photo felt alive. They were simply enjoying every second of their wedding day together.
The vendor team brought everything together beautifully. Sasha Voronova coordinated the day seamlessly, while I Do OBX handled the ceremony florals, lighting, and rentals that gave the spaces a soft coastal elegance. Pretty Little Things added tableware and glassware details that elevated the reception, while Madeline Rentals provided specialty pieces throughout the design.
Music played a huge role throughout the evening. Ceremony music by A Major Harmony created the perfect atmosphere as guests arrived at Whalehead, and DJ Hype kept the energy high once the dance floor opened. Swell Productions captured the movement and emotion of the night on video, while Glimmer Hair and Makeup made sure Eliza and her bridal party looked effortlessly beautiful from start to finish. Brew Dolly kept the drinks flowing, adding another fun touch to cocktail hour by the pool.
As the night went on, the dance floor spilled outside, guests laughed under the string lights, and eventually the celebration ended exactly the way it should have, with people jumping into the pool fully dressed and loving every second of it.
Eliza and Quientin’s wedding was full of personality, joy, and the kind of moments people remember long after the weekend ends. We were honored to be part of it.
